What topics would you like to see on this blog? What are your biggest challenges in your creative business?
There’s a poll in the side bar and I’d love to to get your feedback. The poll will be up for a couple of weeks.
The question is: What topics would you like to see on this blog? There are 9 topic areas listed and I ask you to choose your top 3. Or don’t. Write in a hundred ideas in the comments. I’d be giddy. I’m getting sidetracked.
The topics are:
Accounting and bookkeeping
Advertising
Blogging (getting started and recharging)
Creating a business plan
Developing a mission statement
Marketing
Pricing
Social Networking
Time Management
Of course, you can post your ideas in the comments too! Thanks for your feedback. :)

I checked Accounting & Bookkeeping as one of mine. I’ve seen some great resources but all in $$$ and I would love some information/resources in £££! :)

well, I like reading about all. Social networking for me is a problem. Maybe because in real life I am very selective as well. I have the feeling that blogging years ago was much better. People were friendly. People used to comment more and read more. I think. This is just my own impression. I think twitter and facebook have something to do with that!! And time management is a good one, speacially when I have kids, home, college and photos…ha!
To me they are all important but the one thing that stands out is the blogging. I have not been able to get a good start on blogging. I might do one or two and never do any more. Social networking would be next because I have only done that at the craft fairs. I plan on pushing my business for the New Year and I will start with blogging.
Right now I’m finding that accounting & time management are my big ones. (Especially since I’ve still currently got a full-time job, my blog, the stuff I make & sell and now I’m selling other people’s crafts too!)

Blogging is at the top of my list but I think they are all important for a successful business. Blogging and social net working are kind of the same thing so I guess that would be next on my list. I also need to do a business plan. Like Mallory I also have a full time job.
Blogging is big on my list. It is so time consuming and always the first thing to get pushed to the back burner. I strongly believe in the value of blogging, not only for improving SEO, but for the simple practice of eloquently talking about what I do.
I also need to improve my bookkeeping. A revamp of my current system is the first priority in the new year.
Very useful tips! Thank you!
